When the founders of coursera/edx were putting their pitch decks together, the assumption was that once you make education accessible & drastically reduce the cost, people would embrace it in droves.
They quickly realised the major issue wasn't cost or access, its the fact that people don't like education. It's boring.
Netflix will always have more subscribers than Edx or Coursera, because its easier to finish a movie than it is to finish an online course.

This a gentle reminder that the law says a principal can only suspend a student if their behaviour is so bad that it is likely to be detrimental to school discipline or they have physically harmed a fellow student or staff.
Suspending a child for raising awareness about a safety issue that could lead to significant bodily harm??? Putting aside whether this merits punishment, why should the punishment be that the child canโt attend class?
The parents of a fourth form St. Georgeโs College student are calling on the school to rescind a seven-day suspension handed down to the boy for a video posted on the social media platform TikTok.
The video in question is of a broken fan in a fourth form classroom.

African talent is so underestimated.
A group of Sudanese hackers, @anonymous_Sudan, hacked into X (Twitter) to get Elon's attention. They want Starlink in Sudan. Everyone thought it had to be Russia behind it. They actually had to show Sudanese passports to prove to BBC.
