"So that's pretty much it. I'm open to questions although no Star Wars questions please," he said, causing the reporters to laugh. "But I want to say once again how grateful I am and it just shows you that one person can be so influential and so positive in our lives and again thank you so much."

Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis met privately this morning in Miami, the WaPo reports. According to the report, the pair met for several hours and DeSantis agreed to help Trump.

A person with direct knowledge told the Post that the meeting was “friendly.”

Here’s Donald Trump, just a few weeks ago, comparing beating Ron DeSantis in the GOP primaries to beating ISIS: “I hit him hard, I hit him low, just like we did to ISIS…We hit this guy so hard…He’s a shell of the man…”
