Statement from the Nobel Foundation
One of the core missions of the Nobel Foundation is to safeguard the dignity of the Nobel Prizes and their administration. The Foundation upholds Alfred Nobel’s will and its stipulations. It states that the prizes shall be awarded to those who "have conferred the greatest benefit to humankind," and it specifies who has the right to award each respective prize. A prize can therefore not, even symbolically, be passed on or further distributed.

Note this tweet is under one about eroding trust in media. Be clear: earning deep and lasting trust is not about throwing red meet on loyalists’ grills; it’s about reporting truth, even when people who like you want it buried. Morphing truth into fake “equal” sides destroys trust
Sen. JD Vance claimed on national television that Donald Trump "didn't go after his political opponents" during the four years of his presidency.
Fact check: we were alive during those four years. https://t.co/gWkVv58rG0
The absolute worst thing that a media outlet can do to gain trust over the long haul is to throw in so hard with a “side” or a party that they skate past good, attentive journalism and caution in favor of sensationalism and hype. That is what so much of our media have become.

The NYT is now a caricature of itself. It would be funny if we and our democracy weren’t faced with imminent “enemy within” danger that they soften daily (like they did Hitler during his rise—and race science in its heyday) while trying to pretend that it’s superior journalism.
The NYT says Trump was just doing an "improvisational departure," like John Coltrane or something, when he behaved like a complete madman on stage tonight
@DickScruggs I see the upside. For one, it shows that she is unafraid to go onto that fire and draws a contrast to his “enemy within” threats. She is undoubtedly the toughest person in the race.
THIS is what everyone needs to be aware of.
IF you vote for Trump, you are voting for a fascist who plans to use the military to go after political opposition—including regular American citizens who dare to criticize him. "The enemy from within."
I'm begging reporters covering the declining birthrate to interview feminist scholars. Much of the coverage focuses on the tax policy, the election, & the rising cost of living generally. But there's very little focus on the lack of suitable partners & the threat of misogyny.
I have known Mickey for decades. He was not a part of the disgraceful turn Heritage took. He was the head of the American Conservative Union, to be sure, but he has always been a principled conservative. Something that is nearly extinct. Mickey respects the constitution and the rule of law. He always has, including his time in Congress.
Everyone can kiss my a$$ who ever belittled or tried to "stay in your lane" me (and @ashtonpittman) about the blatant words of a fascist dictator wannabe that Trump has demonstrated for years now. We don't apologize for actually knowing enough about history to name clear danger.
