@ABKingwriter @CaulfieldTim@HealthyDebate I have an article on "Increasing equity, accessibility, and health through public transit" that I've been meaning to publish. If you have any suggestions, feel free to contact me.
@BOWZ6CV@CaulfieldTim@HealthyDebate Im glad it works for yall, but that only suits a minority of the population as per the Portland study. You want more people biking? More bike lanes.
@BOWZ6CV@CaulfieldTim@HealthyDebate I look forward to reading your response in the form of an article. I’m sure @HealthyDebate would be open to it, assuming your sources are legitimate.
Vehicular cycling wouldn’t mitigate that risk of crossing and turning traffic and would impose other dangers.
@TweetingTNT@CaulfieldTim@HealthyDebate Any proof? Creating bike lanes would induce demand for biking and reduce the number of cars on the road (ie reduce Mercedes’ profits).
I’ve rarely seen a bike have to press a pedestrian button (“beg” button) in Montreal.
@BOWZ6CV@CaulfieldTim@HealthyDebate Any proof to this? Education can only go so far. We and our behaviours our shaped by our environment.
I’d encourage you to read both part 1&2 in full.
