Newell sits on this fastball and sends it up the middle to score two to get an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second.

I’m very excited to announce that I have accepted a position as a hitting coach with the Los Angeles Dodgers!

I’m thrilled to be back in Dodger Blue and be a part of a dynamic player development group! I’m grateful for the opportunity and for the support from friends and family

Someone is going to get a steal when he commits. Kid is a baller.

Athletic 5-11 170lb frame. Leg kick stride. Catches a loud barrel that gets ran down by the left fielder. Had a hustle double in the first.

Also want to congratulate my teammates as we ended the weekend with a 4-0 record, with zero errors and 3 runs allowed. @LightridgeBB @VCGNorth

[Donovan Newell @DonovanNewell2]

Had a great time playing at the Virginia Commonwealth games. Team North took home the gold medals winning the championship game 7-2. I also want to thank Coach Colangelo and Coach Yount for the opportunity to play. Here are some barrels I caught through 4 games. @PBRVirginiaDC

[Donovan Newell @DonovanNewell2]

Solid first game with Team North at the Virginia Commonwealth Games. Went 1-3 with a nice bunt for a base hit, and a line drive that never fell. Looking forward to our second game at 5pm tonight.
