“In a poignant workshop organized by Gaza Sky Geeks, photographer & documentarian Tariq Bakri shared firsthand accounts of the 1948 Nakba. One phrase…. ‘They took it furnished,’ encapsulated the heart-wrenching story of dispossession.” @DonyaInGaza

"I am from Palestine... In my death is my rebirth... They destroyed my home, but I have a home in Paradise with my family."
Children of Gaza sing on the anniversary of the Nakba.
"Shout, you displaced people, from the queues of suffering... Shout, you children, in the faces of the occupation... We are the decision-makers... We are the generation of miracles."
These are the generation of genocide
“This May Day, the message from Gaza is clear: We do not ask for a handout. We ask for the blockade to end, for the genocide to stop, and for the right to reclaim our tools.” @DonyaInGaza

Live show tomorrow. @JonElmer breaks down the first five days of the US-Israeli war on Iran, @DonyaInGaza joins us live from Gaza, @AliAbunimah brings analysis and @NoraBF rounds up the week's news.
Today, this handsome young man Abdallah passed away suddenly from a heart attack.
He is not the first case of sudden death in Gaza in recent times. There has been a noticeable increase in the number of deaths from blood clots, strokes, and other causes among the population, even among young people.
A scientific study conducted at the end of 2024 and published in the medical journal @TheLancet estimated that the number of people in Gaza who died from causes other than direct Israeli killings reached 16,300 that year, compared to a pre-war average of 8,540, nearly double.
Despite the Palestinians in Gaza’s efforts to speak about the details of the genocide we have endured, many facts and feelings remain missing and impossible to describe.
