I forgot that yesterday was the two year anniversary of the day she walked out without saying anything. But I still remembered the next day.
Two steps forward and one step back is still a net positive, I guess.
As for me, I'm like, fine I guess. Still not happy with where life has led me, but I'm taking steps forward, small as they may be. Shit still feels incredibly bleak, but it seems just a teensy bit easier to trust that I'll wind up doing better some day.
Dropping in to once again say that Pride Month is incredibly important and I'm so happy to see all my friends in the LGBT+ community so excited, but I'd like us to remember that it's also Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. Life sucks for all of us; let's celebrate together.
Still single, still bitter about it, and still resentful towards the abuser that did this to me. But I'm getting better every day, even if only by a little bit. I'm doing my best to be proud of myself for how far I've come, instead of lamenting how much farther I have to go.
Status update, since I just turned 29 today.
Took longer than expected, but I finally quit my job a few weeks ago and started a new one. Nothing glamorous, and it pays lower, but they give me enough hours to make up for it, and I don't have to deal with my terrible old boss.
New Year's resolutions are pretty shakey right now. I haven't actually started on any of them, but I still plan on getting to them sooner rather than later. I've been getting back to drawing in my free time and have been making myself eat healthier bit by bit, at least.
I also plan on quitting my job and finding something better as soon as humanly possible. I'll be all over Indeed tonight.
I'm also going to put myself out there more and try to find someone that will properly love and care about me. I'm tired of my bitch ex holding me back.
Happy New Year's.
2026 is gonna be my year whether it wants to or not. My resolutions are to:
- start exercising again and stick with it. Finally get below 200 lbs
- properly practice my art, instead of just winging it
- start learning Japanese
And I'm gonna fucking do it.
I hope my boss goes bankrupt, I hope his wife and kids leave him, I hope he never holds a stable job ever again, I hope he never feels happiness again for the rest of his life.
Fuck that guy so hard. Someone like that doesn't deserve nice things.
My job just keeps getting worse and worse, yet I keep at it because the idea of finding something else and being the new guy again is so daunting and scary.
What the hell is wrong with me?
Sometimes it's really, really hard to convince myself keeping a job and living an honest life is worth it when my reward at the end of the day is stress, loneliness and still not enough money to live.
Am I going to die single and still living with my mother?
Oh hey, it's her birthday.
Hope it was miserable. Hope you didn't feel even an ounce of happiness all day. And I hope every day after this just gets worse and worse for you.
