It's been so long and I still see your face in so many others, and it scares me because I wonder if I ever won't. Then you'll truly be lost. And just maybe, I might be found.
People have blamed the refs, a coin toss, a kicker, coaching and more to excuse Buffalo’s recent playoff losses. Hard reality is that Josh Allen’s led Bills simply choke in the biggest playoff games. Sorry cause he’s a likable guy, but 8 years in he has 2 impressive playoff wins.
Josh Allen has had the ball in his hands to win or tie the game in his final game of the season for the past 3 years and the Bills have lost every one of them.
The comeback against the Texans, the Mahomes run against the Titans, Jet Chip Wasp, the left handed throw, the no looks, 13 seconds, the win against Philly in AZ…this team has given us more memorable moments in the last decade than we’d gotten in a lifetime before.
What a run.
Some Chiefs fans are in full panic mode after a 1-score divisional loss… but let’s get real. 🏈👀
Yes, the offense had a wrench thrown in when Worthy went down early. Tyquan Thornton, Jason Brownlee, Robert Tonyan, Brashard Smith, and Josh Simmons were all making their Chiefs debut (with Jalen Royals OUT). That matters.
The defense? Sluggish across the board. ONL inactive. Gillotte barely saw snaps. Chris Jones looked slower than normal, McDuffie was not his usual lockdown self for the whole game. Yet even on a “bad day,” they allowed less than 30 points. One poor decision late from our defensive leader kept Mahomes from getting the ball back with a chance to walk us down and win, which we all know he would have 😈
Meanwhile, the offense scored on 5 straight drives. Mahomes looked like MVP Mahomes for 45+ minutes. JuJu looked like 2022 JuJu. Hollywood had a couple drops, but also made big plays and showed he can fill in at WR1 in the meantime. The O-line? Much better than last year, and Simmons + Suamataia’s chemistry is only just beginning. 🔥
And on top of all of this, we play in Arrowhead on Sunday 🏟️ And have the greatest advantage in all of sports… our fans! 🗣️
This team is the standard. For 6 years. We’ve won in every way possible. We’ve won without a WR1.
We’ve won when Skyy Moore, KT, and Justin Watson were 3 of our top 4 WRs.
We’ve won with no RB production.
We’ve won with a good defense.
We’ve won with a bad defense.
We’ve won coming off bad losses.
We’ve won coming off bad endings to the previous season.
We’ve won with injuries across the board.
We’ve won every type of game there is.
A divisional loss doesn’t change that. A bad SB loss didn’t change it in 2020 either.
There’s a reason this team is the only team in NFL history to make 5 Super Bowls in 6 years. 🏆
We are the opponent that fans circle as an “L” when they predict their team’s record. We are the team no one wants to play — because 9 times out of 10, the Chiefs find a way. Don’t let the trolls who sit behind a keyboard and lie change your mind…
This is a dynasty. 💯 And no matter who’s in or out, WE are always the tough opponent, not the other way around.
