I got a message from a UK mum yesterday who's 11 year old daughter brought home Jack of Hearts ( and other parts) from her school library. It took a parent's complaint for it to be removed. Would Index on Censorship & CILIP consider this 'book banning'? Here's an example of it.

But do I honestly think this will happen? Frankly no. Because it is my belief that the entire shit show has been to the benefit of the unelected powers of the British establishment who were of course never going to allow or enable Scotland to gain independence. Salmond, like many brave men before him dared to go up against these forces.. He managed to make a great many Scottish people believe we could actually fulfil a historically ancient dream of self governance. What better way to meet that threat than to enable the worst kind of corruption and betrayal within the ranks of the SNP. I would suggest that the lack of a moral compass demonstrates time and time again by the obvious sham marriage of two morally weak and corruptible individuals within the heart of the SNP was an easy vehicle for this political threat to be nullified.

I somehow hadn't registered that Scott/Heather Herbert was charged in Scotland, which has the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act 2021.

It's possible he was charged under Part 3, Section 4: Stirring Up Hatred.
