16 years later, has the Constitution of Kenya achieved what it was meant to achieve? 🇰🇪
Has it been fully implemented as envisioned? Are our leaders upholding its principles, protecting citizens’ rights and respecting the limits of power?
While the 2010 Constitution has transformed many aspects of governance, gaps in implementation and accountability remain.
Young people are calling for the full implementation of the Constitution of Kenya so that its promises, rights and principles become a reality for every Kenyan.

The Constitution of Kenya gave us the freedom of expression.
As young people, we have a voice to address issues, speak truth to power, fight for our rights, and demand accountability.
16 years on, we must protect this freedom and use our voices responsibly to shape the Kenya we want.
#KatibaAt16 #MaskaniMombasa #YouthVoice
The Constitution is not merely a book; it is the foundation that guides how our country is governed and protects the rights and freedoms of every Kenyan.
As young people, we must know, use and defend the Constitution. We must stand tall and speak out against anything that seeks to curtail our rights, including corruption and abuse of power.
The Constitution is not only for those in power,it belongs to all of us. It is a daily guide and a powerful tool for citizens to demand accountability, justice and positive change.
16 years on, let us make the Constitution work for every Kenyan. 🇰🇪

@Maskani254 Beautifully said! ❤️ Young people are not just the future, we are part of the present. When youth are heard, empowered, and given opportunities to lead, real change becomes possible. Let’s keep raising our voices! 🙌🏽🇰🇪
#InternationalYouthDay#YouthVoices#ChangeNiSisi
As we celebrate International Youth Day, we recognize the vital role young people in Kenya play in shaping governance, democracy, and sustainable development.
Yet, meaningful youth participation remains challenged by limited civic awareness, inadequate access to information, and barriers to inclusive decision-making.
This day is a reminder to move beyond celebrating young people to creating spaces where their voices are heard, their ideas are valued, and their participation drives change.
Young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow, they are citizens and changemakers today.

Maskani Ya Taifa has officially kicked off a 3 day inception meeting and a transformative three-day training in Tana River County, marking the establishment of the #MaskaniTanaRiver Hub and strengthening digital advocacy skills among young people in the county.
The training will equip participants with practical skills on Social Media for Advocacy, empowering them to amplify community voices, promote civic engagement, strengthen accountability, and influence conversations that drive better governance and social change.
In today's digital age, advocacy extends far beyond physical spaces. Social media has become a powerful tool for mobilizing communities, encouraging public participation, challenging misinformation, and shaping narratives that matter. Through this training, young people from across Tana River County will learn how to strategically, ethically, and responsibly use digital platforms to advocate for issues affecting their communities.
By strengthening their digital advocacy skills, participants will be better positioned to champion local priorities, influence public discourse, and contribute to meaningful and lasting social change.

A successful advocacy campaign starts by listening to the community.
As part of today's campaign design exercise, the first group from #MaskaniTanaRiver transformed community concerns into advocacy priorities, highlighting unreliable access to clean water, challenges in maternal healthcare, shortages of health personnel, inadequate emergency services, and poor patient care.
By identifying problems, proposing practical solutions, and developing clear advocacy messages, participants are learning how to build campaigns that elevate community voices and influence meaningful change.
