Creating safer roads requires more than commitment, it requires coordination, collaboration, and collective action.
Today, ROSACU members convened for a Quarterly Meeting to review progress, align priorities under our Strategic Plan, and advance the implementation of road safety advocacy campaigns.
Together, we are strengthening a united voice for road safety in Uganda 🤝
Do you know which helmet actually gives you the best protection?
Don’t just wear any helmet. Wear one designed to protect you in case of a crash.
✅️ A certified full-face helmet offers the best coverage for your head, jaw, and teeth, helping reduce the risk of serious injury.
We commend this brave action taken to prioritize safety. By speaking up, you helped protect many lives on the road👏.
We encourage all passengers to report all kinds of reckless practices to help make our roads safer for everyone.
ROSACU was honored to join stakeholders and @MoWT_Uganda for the launch of the Certified Motorcycle Helmet User Guide.
The guide outlines the essential standards every helmet must meet.
We appreciate all partners who contributed to its development 👏.
📢 We are hiring a Coalition Coordinator!

Happening now! As we discuss issues on road safety. According to the most recent Annual Crime Report 2025, road crashes have increased with fatalities increasing by 4.6%. Worrying statistics in it! As we look ahead we have to work together to curb these atrocities. Remember that road safety is a shared responsibility!

As we observe Lent and Ramadan, let's reflect not only in prayer and fasting but also in our behavior on the roads.
Let's practice patience, discipline, and responsibility every time we are on the road.
We wish you all a peaceful holy period.

4. Passengers, please speak up. If a driver is driving badly, say something. Silence has buried many.
5. Avoid all distractions. One moment of inattention can change everything.
This festive season, let's arrive safely
Let's celebrate with those we love - and see another year
1. Fatigue is dangerous. A tired driver is as risky as a drunk one. Park and rest - the journey can wait.
2. Follow traffic rules. They exist to protect life.
3. Travel early. Don't wait for Christmas Eve. Most crashes happen when everyone is rushing
We are in the most "fun" month of the year. December is loud with Christmas plans, homecoming journeys, and all the fun.
But as we celebrate, let's be cautious on the road.
Let's zero down festive season road crashes.
As we travel this December, let's choose safety.
Traffic Advisory
This morning, Police registered a fatal accident at Seeta involving a concrete mixer and a truck, which unfortunately claimed one life. Efforts are currently underway to have the vehicles towed away in order to restore smooth traffic flow.
In the meantime, we appeal to all motorists to use the following alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion in the affected area:
• Motorists from the City Centre heading to Kireka are advised to use the Kinawataka – Kirinya – Jokas route.
• Motorists using the Northern Bypass are advised to branch off at Naalya Roundabout – Kyaliwajala – Sonde – Seeta.
• Motorists from Mukono heading to the City Centre are advised to use Kalagi Road.
We regret the loss of life and extend our condolences to the family of the deceased. Further details will be communicated in due course.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank the public for their cooperation.
" I have driven this road a hundred times.
It’s familiar, and I’m in a hurry-no need for a seatbelt.”
"It’s only a quick trip to the supermarket -I’ll be fine.”
Fact: Most crashes happen close to home, on roads you know best.
Crashes don’t care how far you’re going.
Buckle up!
