@MrJohnNicolson Hi John, I know @NicolaSturgeon has talked about the possibility of banning Click&collect in Scotland, do you think she'll go through with it? I am in England, and I think its madness to force workers to facilitate this. Ppl need to stay home. Love your show btw.
@AnneMar86271063@BloodyPolitics Yes, but you could've had your laptop delivered by any of them. That's what im getting at, we are meant to be staying at home. The reason for Stay at homeit is to limit the unnecessary movement of people.
@A_Gordon_29 @BloodyPolitics You're so right. Back in lockdown 1 we all managed to not starve. I think consumerism has just become too much of a part of what people think we NEED.
@stevemf2859 @granny_johns @BloodyPolitics You're absolutely right. Stay at home order unless you want to go out and pick up a lampshade or scented candle.
@BloodyPolitics @A_Gordon_29 You are right, they most definitely are. Tbh, my point was more click and collect. Any business delivering goods to peoples homes should be allowed. I really meant to prevent larges amounts of people making unnecessary journeys to retail parks & queueing outside.
@granny_johns @BloodyPolitics Agreed, I get that. That is definitely essential 😀 merchants selling plumbing & tradesman providing repair services, I would class as essential. But u must agree department stores/toy shops etc etc aren't.
@sara_davidson It is, I completely agree. People just miss the point with this. It's about minimising movement of people & breaking transmission, but people seem more bothered about picking up new cushions or a scented candle.
@granny_johns @BloodyPolitics It is in England too, but the shops are all staffed to accommodate this "click & collect" nonsense. Retail parks are busy with queuing shoppers picking up non essential items. It's nuts.
@sara_davidson Couldn't agree more it's madness. They need to stamp this out asap. the government wonder why the use of public transport, car journeys & class sizes haven't dropped. Its all the staff having to go to work.
@granny_johns @BloodyPolitics True. Although it's the queuing outside of the non essential shops is an issue.also the movement of people to these non essential retail parks. Plus the staff made to go to work at these places on public transport, in cars etc. These workers have to send their kids to school too.
@MrJohnNicolson @talkradio Hi John, please raise the issue of non essential retail being allowed to do click & collect causing queues, Staff travelling everyday to to satisfy peoples non essential purchases. IT'S WRONG! & the Gov wonder why there is more ppl moving around!
@2013Boodicca@GMB OK, so all the Doctors & specialists I meet through work are lying & all the people in ICU unable to breathe suffering from COVID-19 are actors & part of a global Conspiracy?
