@goookpussy J.D. Vance is alright, I guess, but he pales in comparison to the hypothetical politician I'm customizing in my head with +4 height, -1 Indian wife, and +7 n-word posts.
@anzidmtg I think that a coin flip is perfectly balanced, but im not signing up for a coin flip tournament. The more decks that cause games like this, the less people will play (and this holds true for comp tourney formats as well, just the other formats aren't a high enough power level)
@lonelyfag15 For student loans to be a true loan, they would need to be gatekept by likelihood of repayment. The only ways I could see that working is filtering by SAT/ACT and major.
I do think the US is good at giving upward mobility to the truly gifted, but it leaves a pitfall for others.
@wanyeburkett I felt this up until 2021ish, all of my experience with Indian co-workers were great. I had some poorer experiences in the past few years, but part of that could also be they were brought in from the coast (I work in the midwest).
@DoomerCoomer There's an older mtg game called Shandalar that I remember enjoying quite a bit.
Otherwise, online magic is much less fun than in-person.
