STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE

Vice President Kashim Shettima has urged northern leaders and citizens to unite behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election, assuring them that the North has nothing to fear. He highlighted the administration’s appointments, projects and programmes benefiting the region, including agricultural support for smallholder farmers.

The Vice President made this statement on October 12, 2026, while receiving a delegation of Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. He encouraged the group to intensify grassroots mobilisation across wards, communities and local governments.

Led by former Jigawa State Governor Abubakar Badaru, A4A reaffirmed its commitment to Tinubu’s re-election. Former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau also pledged the group’s continued engagement with northern governors, religious leaders and other stakeholders to strengthen support for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket in 2027.

The Nasarawa State Government, through Bar. Labaran Shu'aibu, has stated that the major projects visible in Nasarawa State today are the result of additional support and revenue funds that the state receives from the Federal Government under the leadership of His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The SSG said that the economic reforms brought by President Tinubu have strengthened the states in carrying out infrastructure projects such as the new Secretariat, the 1MWp solar power station, and major roads.

Residents have shown joy over the changes they have received under this blessed Government.

NELFUND has ended the struggle with school fees. Even children from poor families can now train as doctors, lawyers, and engineers.

After years of diversions caused by bad roads, the Abuja-Kaduna road and the Jimbam Bridge in Yobe are finally being rebuilt. Drivers say they are happy and grateful to President Tinubu.

In Boka, farmers say food prices have dropped, farming has improved, and markets are stronger because of the federal government’s agricultural policies.

Seeing is believing.

Thank you, Mr President @officialABAT. Of the many projects in Taraba State, this one is especially close to my heart. Whenever they chase me out of Abuja, at least I can enjoy a smooth drive back to my ranch. 😅

Every government since 1961 promised to build this important road for us, but none delivered. Today, in just over two years, we can drive smoothly on this road and across the Taraba River safely. Hundreds of lives were lost here because of the difficult terrain, particularly during the rainy season, when boat mishaps were tragically common.
