A Mess of the Egg Yolk Moon Cake in Taiwan
When the Moon Festival is approaching, people rush into the bakery “不二坊” to rob egg yolk moon cakes to have on the day of the Moon Festival. You can see the crowd expanded into the road. A box with 15 egg yolk moon cakes cost 3,000 New Taiwan dollars that is triple higher than the original price if you bought from a purchasing agent!

Tomorrow is the last day of the lunar 7th month, Sep 10. A ceremony, the Closing of Ghost Gate, is held to send all wandering spirits "Good Brothers" back to hell. The summer vacation for those spirits reach the end.

Here in Taiwan we have “PuDu” which is held on the 7th lunar month.
Each family sets up the three sacrifices, fruits and biscuits to the wandering spirits “Good Brothers” on the roads.
Instead of fearing, people treat them as guests and provide them with various foods.
