A team of 22 of our amazing wood wardens, staff from @APHAgovuk and @NE_Wessex recently cleared over 225kgs of Pitcher Plants at Wareham Forest. These invasive & non-native plants damage native plants & insects that are vital for this area.
What a great team effort 💚💪

We're using innovative technology to track bee populations & learn how they are changing. This devices listens for wing beats & counts the number of bees.
This will help inform how we care for #DorsetForests.

The #DingyMocha #moth lives in damp grasslands, heathlands and woodland rides in southern England. Their habitats in Wareham and Ringwood benefit from our ride edge management.

Four years ago today a #Wildfire took hold at Wareham Forest. Started by disposable BBQs, it burnt for 3 weeks & destroyed 220 hectares of precious forest.
It's a lasting reminder of why we ask everyone to please #BringAPicnicNotABBQ & prevent this happening again @DWFireRescue
