@MStanza@TonyKorologos UDOT is separate from UTA -- not a "they". As of today, UDOT does not operate bus services.
And, the limited number of buses equipped for the canyons?
Maybe not a moon launch, but still a complicated problem not solved by one or two simple answers.
@brianbrocoff@TonyKorologos Can't close the only way out of a dead-end canyon road.
What if you are staying at Snowbird and need to catch a flight?
Or there's an emergency?
Or, just want to go down...
@MStanza@the_sledgehama@UDOTcottonwoods@AltaAlerts@AltaCentral UDOT is separate from UTA.
Limited number of buses equipped for the canyons (automatic chains, different transmissions, etc) and limited number of operators trained to drive a 40 foot bus in these the canyons.
No grandiose gondola conspiracy.
@brianbrocoff@TonyKorologos Buses do go to front of the line when canyon is closed for avalanche mitigation. But without bus lanes (in the plans for BCC π) it's nearly impossible for buses to get priority.
Close downhill traffic?
@JacsonBevens If the Bears would have kicked a FG on either of their 4th down attempts (at the Rams' 32 in 2Q or the Rams' 2 in 4Q), the Bears would have beaten the Rams.
