🏅Wow, what a week! This week has been all about testing and developing our sporting abilities through a variety of sporting events. Starting with our Commonweath week opening ceremony, then sports day, gymnastics, bike riding and football! Fantastic effort🏅

📖 Tell Me A Tale 📖
Today we read the story ‘Knights and Dragons Unite!’ which led to a fantastic discussion of how we should show kindness to one another. We also enjoyed a day filled with making our own dragons, dragon colouring and building a dragon’s lair🐲

This week we have been exploring friendship and responding to the question ‘is it good to have friends?’
We listened to stories about Jesus and his friends and thought about how we can follow in Jesus‘ footsteps to become kind and caring to others♥️

🇬🇧👑 Today, we have been super busy celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee! We all made our very own sparkling crowns, our morning class decorated some delicious biscuits and our afternoon/full time class enjoyed an afternoon tea fit for a Queen! 👑🇬🇧

🔢Numeracy🔢 This week we have all had a turn at building a castle using Numicon! This has helped us to develop our knowledge of number and make connections between the Numicon and the number they represent. Da iawn pawb!

This morning, Dosbarth Solva took an exciting trip to Haverfordwest castle to explore the grounds and find out the history of the town in the castle museum! We had such fun exploring and Miss Matthews is so proud of how sensibly we walked all the way from our school!

This week we have spent time looking after our mental health & wellbeing. We discussed how it is not only important to keep our bodies healthy, but our minds too! We took part in daily miles, yoga sessions & spent time in our class ‘zen den’ 🧠❤️

We have used our DCF skills to create an invitation for a celebration! We had to draw a colourful picture and include the place, day and time that our celebration is going to take place 📱🥳

What do trolls eat when they can’t get their hands on billy goats? Mud pies of course!👹🥧
This ‘Welly Wednesday’, Dosbarth Solva went on a hunt to collect ingredients from our school field and then followed instructions to make a messy mud pie for a troll to feast on! 🍃
