On November 14th, Berkshire Hathaway disclosed a $5.1 billion stake in Alphabet.

Thirteen days earlier, Google launched Ironwood … a chip that does what Nvidia’s GPUs do at one-fifth the cost.

Six days after the filing, Google released Gemini 3, the most advanced AI model on Earth.

It was trained on ZERO Nvidia chips.

This is not a headline. This is the end of a monopoly.

THE MATH THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING

Every AI company except Google pays Nvidia $3-4 billion to train a frontier model.

Google pays $600-750 million using its own Ironwood TPUs.

OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft, Meta … all of them are paying 400% more for the same computational power.

Google owns the factory. Everyone else rents the tools.

WHY THIS MATTERS TO YOU

Nvidia built a $3.5 trillion empire by being the only supplier of AI chips that matter.

That monopoly just shattered.

Anthropic already signed contracts for 1 million Google TPUs. OpenAI is rumored to be in talks. The migration has started.

When your competitors can train models at 20% of your cost, you don’t have a business … you have a countdown timer.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

If Google Cloud grows above 45% this quarter, Nvidia’s pricing power collapses.

If TPU costs stay 75-80% below GPU equivalents, every rational AI lab switches.

If Gemini keeps improving at this pace, the model wars are already over.

The entire AI economy is about to re-price around one fact:

Whoever owns the chips owns the future.

Google owns the chips.

Buffett owns Google.
