J A M A I C A,
You all gave me the chance to represent you on the world stage — to wear our colours with pride, show the world the strength, resilience, and the heart of our people. Everything I’ve achieved started right here at home. 🙏🏾
Now, as so many of our children, brothers and sisters face the hardships caused by Hurricane Melissa, please know — We are right here with YOU. 💪🏾💔
We are STANDING together, REBUILDING together, and reminding the world that JAMAICANS never leave each other behind. 🇯🇲❤️
We’ve faced many a storms before, and every single time, we RISE again — STRONGER, UNITED and full of FAITH.
Stay STRONG, stay safe, and know we will RISE TOGETHER 🙏🏿

People of the World! Jamaica is a beautiful country! Book your vacation there for Thanksgiving and Christmas! Is true the hurricane had a big impact and we are in the emergency phase still. Many Jamaicans were affected. But you want to help? Help maintain and create jobs with tourism…
Acting upon the directive of Minister Dana Morris Dixon, I toured several schools in Westmoreland to get a first-hand look at the damage caused by Hurricane Melissa. These visit forms part of our Ministry’s assessment efforts to ensure a swift and safe return to learning for affected students and staff. Grateful to have been supported on the tour by our Parliamentary Secretary , our Permanent Secretary, our Chief Educational Officer, Regional Director, Education Officers, Technical Building Officers, principals, teachers and others members of our staff. #RecoveringTogether
The Chinese business community in western Jamaica has mobilised more than $100 million in hurricane relief supplies for communities devastated by Hurricane Melissa, with an immediate emergency response led by LCH Developments just hours after the Category 5 storm devastated sections of the country.
LCH Developments’ construction partner, Brothers Concepts & Solutions Limited, was first on the ground, deploying bulldozers and heavy machinery to clear blocked roads and reopen critical access routes for emergency food and water deliveries.

We’re in Slipe currently
with @MasickaMusic and the MADE Foundation, along with Fort MJ Trucking, we’ve begun delivering relief to families who have been cut off for days.
We’re also working with the JDF to reach areas that are still inaccessible.
Yesterday late in the day I landed in Negril and gave away water food, hot meals, beef patties, fruits….the situation was “tense” but thanks to the cooperation of the people and @JamaicaConstab we were able to distribute right in the field to the people…while We @WCKitchen prefer to do it in a more organize way, the decision was about delivering it or taking it back to Kingston…so I’m glad we did it! #JamaicaOneLove 🇯🇲 more coming everyday…let’s do this Jamaica!
