I wouldnt say that my transition is a choice fully. I never consciously chose to have the desire to be a woman, but I did choose to act on that desire, and personally I think it is more empowering to view my transition through the lens of that choice, rather than happenstance.

The they/them discourse is really frustrating because its actually a really good pronoun to use for someone whose pronouns you havent gotten a chance to ask because its also the grammatically correct pronoun to use for someone of indeterminate gender.
