For the past 5 months I've been building and stress-testing an NFL player prop model from the ground up—projections, simulations, matchup analysis, and validation. Thought I'd share a look inside the process and how I think about finding betting edges. @NFL@DraftKings@FanaticsBook@HardRockBet@ActionNetworkHQ@MBFantasyLife

Night Slate 👀
JACOB DE JESUS, CALIFORNIA VS STANFORD (DK: $7.1K | FD: $8.5K | O/U: 47.5 | IMPLIED: 25.5)
“Jacob De Jesus is coming off a 42-point performance against Louisville and is averaging 17.2 fantasy points per game this season. He leads Cal in targets, receptions, receiving yards, and ties for the most receiving TDs. He also has chemistry with freshman QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele. De Jesus is the second-most expensive WR on the slate, but he’s scored at least 10 fantasy points in five of his last six games and faces a defense that allows an average of 284.5 passing yards per game. He's a strong option in both cash games and GPP formats.”

Afternoon Slate 👀
QUINTREVION WISNER, TEXAS VS ARKANSAS (DK: $5.9K | FD: $8.6K | O/U: 58.5 | IMPLIED: 33.5)
“I definitely wouldn’t consider this slate a running back paradise, but the position is more navigable than quarterback. Quintrevion Wisner benefits from the smash matchup against an Arkansas defense checking in at 128th in EPA per rush and 133rd in rushing success rate. The Hogs have allowed a whopping 20 rushing touchdowns this season, and it’d be surprising if Wisner doesn’t find the end zone and have himself a lovely day at the office. He’s been the go-to guy in the backfield lately, and while that can change quickly with Coach Sark, we have to go with what’s in front of us, and that currently is Wisner as RB1. He catches a lot of passes (19 receptions in his last six games), which raises his floor, and the matchup gives him a higher ceiling than his game logs would indicate.”

Main Slate 👀
DIEGO PAVIA, VANDERBILT VS KENTUCKY (DK: $9.2K | FD: $11.8K | O/U: 53.5 | IMPLIED: 31.0)
“Diego Pavia is in the middle of one of the best quarterback seasons in college football, and somehow, he has elevated his game even further over the last two weeks. He is averaging 45 fantasy points per game during that stretch, posting at least 365 passing yards, 40 rushing yards, and four total touchdowns in each contest. Even with a tougher matchup on deck, Pavia should continue to drive this Vanderbilt offense as they push for a playoff berth. At $9.2K, he brings the highest ceiling on the slate and pairs perfectly with the cheaper quarterback options available this week.”

Night Slate 🔎
JEREMIYAH LOVE, NOTRE DAME VS NAVY (DK: $9.5K | FD: $12.6K | O/U: 55.5 | IMPLIED: 41)
“As a 26.5-point favorite, it’s a fair assumption that the Notre Dame offense will have plenty of opportunities to run the ball with an established lead. And they’ll do so with arguably the top RB in the country, Jeremiyah Love. Love is the most expensive player on the slate, but he’s averaging nearly 30 points per game and has eclipsed 40 points twice this season. He faces a Navy defense that allows 126.3 rushing yards per game and ranks 80th in rushing success rate. Love is going to be one of the top scorers on the slate, but he brings challenges to lineups because of his salary. But he’s a great play in cash and GPP formats and likely gives a slight edge in GPPs because his ownership will likely be lower.”

Looking for some stacking options with Indiana’s QB, Fernando Mendoza? 🤔
👀 ELIJAH SARRATT, INDIANA VS IOWA (DK: $5.9K | FD: $9.5K | O/U: 47.5 | IMPLIED: 27.5)
👀 OMAR COOPER JR., INDIANA VS IOWA (DK: $5.5K | FD: $9.6K | O/U: 47.5 | IMPLIED: 27.5)
“Elijah Sarratt and Omar Cooper Jr. have both been so effective that it’s hard to get away from at least one of them in lineups. Sarratt is the more proven of the two and, therefore, has my vote of confidence. Cooper is no slouch in his own right, averaging 3.9 yards per route run and 19.8 yards per reception. Iowa takes away deep routes (fifth in passing explosiveness), which would indicate this may not be another Cooper blowup week.”
