Michaelis began to ruffle feathers back in Week 1 by removing himself from the game and again in Week 2 failing to show up at all. While Week 3 was a promising turnaround, many wonder if it will be enough to convince the franchise to stay in his role come season’s end.
Uh oh.
In addition to going into the game tonight shorthanded, it is reported that Head Coach Spencer Michaelis is on the “hot seat”
Although it may not look good, could be a great opportunity for Michaelis to showcase something. If not, trouble may be in paradise.
Not to go unnoticed, rookie Joe Cook, was also close to a technical as well. He showed plenty of heart out there.
Sources who were near the altercation claim they heard him refer to the ref as “stripes”
GM Gunner Amelunk on the technical foul:
“It means something when you’ve got our leader willing to send a message like that. We don’t condone his behavior. But we need to have a fair game out there as well so I understand the frustration. At the end of the day, we’re good guys.”
Congratulations to Team Owner, Johnny Offenbacher, on receiving the first technical foul of the season!
Danny Hennen has agreed to cover all fines that may come now and in the future.
