@MiraSelah Hmm - interesting. This character fears that if the aliens invade again, credit cards won’t work and cash would be king, but gold would probably work too? (Mean writer lady spoiler alert: the aliens invade again.)

I could use some advice from writer folks who know about financial things. How would a millionaire get as much of his wealth as he could in cash, as quickly as he could? Don’t get excited! It’s about a character, NOT me.

I had trouble killing off a major character, and I kept putting it off. Now, I’m revising the book, and had a laugh over something I’d forgotten - a piece of scrap paper slipped into my notebook by my husband. “Kill [redacted] today!!!”

And when I’ve got this trilogy done, I’m going back to those previous, abandoned books to give them the editing attention they deserve. I don’t care about embarrassment anymore. I kind of like the things I write.
