@anymanfitness Why is this such a controversial take - it’s the truth! 8 travel basketball players were cut from 7th and 8th grade school team. Lots of travel baseball players will be cut in hs - these are facts so almost no shot if you only play rec…
@CoachSwit Yep…11u baseball, 2 hours away in Iowa…tourney doesn’t schedule us until Saturday afternoon yet won’t allow us to cancel Friday night…hotel would normally allow but not the “stay to play” agent we need to book through.
@DrKMcGovernPT don’t allow them to be overused, keep to pitch counts and pitch smart standards, have rest periods, work on proper mechanics..just feel hopeless as a mom - no warning, no elbow pain, no overuse period, proper build up and this happens and what does this mean for long term?
@DrKMcGovernPT It IS a big deal and I worry about arm care every single day with 2 pitcher sons but now my almost 14yr old has this. I do not know what to do to help them prevent these injuries besides not be a pitcher…

@RealMattyBo Arm injuries was the big thing I noticed talking to parents from those states. Multiple kids could not throw the whole weekend because they were shut down from arm injuries and heard that arm injuries were very common on their travel teams. (This was 9u)
@RealMattyBo In Chicago suburbs and my 10yr old is on a top area team with very talented 10’s and they are absolutely not doing all this. We were on a team with some Cal and Tex kids for 1 fun tourn last summer and we realized it’s a whole different beast of travel world in other states…
