Twitter was a crucial part of Double Sided Media’s founding and became an integral tool for what we do — especially with live-tweeting during the George Floyd protests in the Eugene-area during 2020-2021.

Here’s what DSM is planning to do.

We will leave our Twitter account active—unless it’s suspended for something we previously tweeted—but will cease to engage with the platform. We will not post future articles on the site or reply to comments and direct messages.

Onlookers cheered on the workers of 29th & Willamette as they confronted the boss for his unacceptable behavior, and as they walked out. One person began a chant as the workers walked out:

“In the streets
In the fight
Workers of the world unite”

Yesterday, a community member captured the moment our unionized friends at 29th & Willamette in Eugene, OR marched on the boss and walked out on strike.

The grievances cited included unfair dress coding, misogynistic comments, abusive behavior, and health code violations.

On Saturday, friends and family of the late Midas Well—a Black Unity leader and local chef—gathered for a celebration of life that was followed by a candlelight march.

At one point, a large truck drove through the crowd.
