Les représailles tarifaires viennent de déclencher une guerre commerciale que nous ne pouvons pas gagner. L'économie américaine est dix fois plus grande que la nôtre.

Une étude publiée la semaine dernière par le Conseil canadien-américain des affaires a conclu que la fin de l'ACEUM aurait un impact étonnamment faible sur l'économie canadienne.

Elle estime que, même avec des droits de douane élevés et durables, l'économie du Canada ne serait que d'environ 1,6 % plus petite en 2035 que si l'ACEUM était renouvelé et respecté, et que les droits de douane tombaient à près de zéro.

Nous nuisons encore plus à notre économie avec ces contre-tarifs « dollar pour dollar ».

Les droits de douane de représailles ne sont PAS une arme. Ce sont une taxe sur les Canadiens.

Selon vous, qui absorbe ce coût ?
Les consommateurs, les entreprises et les travailleurs canadiens.

Soyons honnêtement brutaux : le gouvernement canadien aggrave la situation. Les familles canadiennes en paieront le prix à la caisse.
