One of the great power imbalances between conservatives and Leftists is the fact that our religion is religion, while their religion masquerades as politics.

As such, we are governed by SCOTUS-determined “separation of church and state” and the Leftists are not.

Case in point: “Pride Month.”

This is a month-long celebration of the Left’s religion, but because it is not treated as a religion, federal/state/local governments everywhere can indulge in it.

However, if we were to try and have governments celebrating “Jesus Month,” the lawsuits would be so thick you couldn’t cut through them with a rainbow chainsaw.

I’m not sure how to solve this.

When it comes to billionaires my take is the opposite of Leftists:

Billionaires SHOULD consume all their wealth: megayachts, English castles, mountains of cocaine, own a dozen homes and 30 cars - do it! Spend it all!

The worst thing that can happen is for a billionaire to try to ‘do good in the world’ and shovel money to NGOs for some cause they get excited about. That’s the worst thing that can happen. Charitable donations should be taxed at 500%. A billionaire’s lavish lifestyle poses no threat to me but their misguided ‘good intent’ is absolutely cancerous and potentially civilization ending.

Sorry, just to got back to the TNC/ Ezra Klein thing:

I actually think that Obama (while a mediocre president) was a transformative figure in that during his second administration progressive politics achieved a combined institutional, social, and cultural power and ubiquity unprecedented in the post war period; Obama was able to bring together creative industries, academia, nat sec and the military, corporations, and activists under a new hegemony that extended as far as entities like Raytheon and the CIA (!!).

That utopian-lite project, based on ethno narcissism, bizarre gnosticism, technocratic and technological authoritarianism, and midwit historical teleological fantasies and fed by an extraordinary multi billion $ looting of the imperial treasury by affiliated orgs has ultimately proven to be an unstable dispensation and is degrading almost as rapidly as it was constructed.

Libs (and their avatars like Klein and TNC) are now located within that hegemony and they are simply not capable of functioning as ‘conservatives’ who can effectively defend their authority and power, they weren’t trained for that role, the libs historically had a place outside the true centers of powers, and had to come up with all sorts of schemes and subversions and critiques to try to get their way.

Now they’re in the seat of power and they don’t know how to defend it other than to tell each other how wise and fair they are. They sound so tone deaf and stupid in large part, it seems, because they failed to fully study and understand the thing that they displaced. A big part of this is that their extraordinary moral vanity (so obviously on show with both Klein and TNC) precludes their being able to think in a clear eyed way about what needs to be done.

I remember when I first noticed that this thing had been set in motion maybe a dozen years ago: small elisions and word games, glimpses of moral zeal, narcissism, and self regard. (2013-2015)

Then it gathered steam and became a cultural main event, institutions got on board, cancelations, society wide panics, big public spectacles. (2016-2019)

And then it reached its apex during COVID after the death of George Floyd when all the institutions aligned in what was a fundamentally totalitarian endeavor to ideologically saturate and regiment not just public life but private social spaces as well. (2020-2023)

And now under the weight of the consequences of that mania - the corruption, the cynicism, the grifts, the delusions and insanity and incompetence, and endemic mental illness - it’s all collapsing into gibberish and disbelief and paranoid denials and schizo-violence spectacles.

I think there’s still a ways to go before things fully burn out, though. There are smaller psychotic discharges that are inevitable and that will be much less predictable (if for no other reason than the ubiquitous high grade insanity now at work) which could still be quite consequential.

The courts have interpreted the First Amendment to bar U.S. and local governments from banning domestic groups based on ideology. Federal terrorism laws banning membership or material support only apply to foreign terror organizations.

However, what matters more is the president signaling the potential use of RICO, conspiracy charges against far-left militants engaged in criminal conspiracies. There are also other current criminal legislation that can be used. And some Antifa groups, like Rose City Antifa, have international links — opening themselves to terrorism charges. It will take a lot of resolve, creativity and determination for the DOJ to break up Antifa’s violent extremist networks, but it can be done.

We’ve already seen it work: in San Diego last year, local prosecutors broke up So Cal Antifa with felony conspiracy convictions. Every identified member of the cell was convicted. Antifa threatened the judge and prosecutors, but they pressed through. Leftist media smeared the DA. At trial, all the evidence showing how organized So Cal Antifa were was revealed. Expect a lot of media lies about Antifa in the coming days. I would not be surprised if some American Antifa groups begin changing their names and taking down their logos.
