This is insane. NJ Transit has absolutely no concern for the daily commuters who use its trains. That was clearly evident during the Portal Bridge month and now this decision. Gov Sherrill needs to put commuters on the NJT board so someone can hold the system accountable.
"Parts of New York Penn Station — the busiest transportation hub in North America — will be closed to everyone but World Cup ticket-holders for four hours before the start of eight World Cup matches held in New Jersey this June and July" via @katesobko + @Colleenallreds
What a great show by Peter Wolf and the Midnight Travelers at City Winery in NYC. Peter was in great form and the band could not have been better. Thank you gentlemen! @PeterWolf169098
I am incredibly honored to receive the endorsement of @NYHTC!
HTC represents workers in more than 300 hotels and other related businesses. These workers are the backbone of one of our city's most vital industries and the benefits, and protections that HTC fights for don't just support individual workers, they allow families to build lives of meaning and stability. When working people have quality jobs with real benefits, our whole city thrives. I look forward to supporting their members in Albany and in their union's upcoming industry-wide renegotiations in NYC.
So excited to have our intrepid Manhattan BP @bradhoylman on Team Ruskay. He's led countless progressive pushes in Albany and knows what it takes to win important fights.
Brad’s set the standard for what it means to be a public servant on the UWS - and he knows Stephanie’s next.
Today is Election Day in NJ-11! Please get out there and vote for Tom @Malinowski so he can work with me again in Congress to take on Trump's corruption and lawlessness. Tom is a tested public servant who has shown real courage. And at a time when courage is the scarcest resource in all of Congress, we need leaders like Tom stepping up for us.
Congratulations to our President and CEO, Stanley Richards, on his historic appointment by @NYCMayor Zohran Mamdani as the first formerly incarcerated Commissioner of the New York City Department of Correction. Commissioner Richards has drawn on his lived experience to lead The Fortune Society with empathy, integrity, and dignity. We are proud that he will carry this legacy into his new role, where he will focus on improving safety, closing Rikers Island, and ensuring the Department of Correction fulfills its core responsibility to care for people in custody while supporting the staff who serve them.

Brendan Gill's history of misogyny and problematic behaviors are not a secret. Yet a number of New Jersey politicians have endorsed him anyway.
Here's @tomamoran with a reminder of what these Brendan Gill endorsers think is acceptable.

The city was broke—but not broken. Drop Dead City, the 2025 documentary about NYC’s 1975 fiscal crisis, is out now. Don’t miss this smart, gripping and unexpectedly poignant story of urban survival, now streaming on all major platforms!
Feeling fortunate to be on the trail with a terrific candidate 🤝
@stephanieruskay and I will be hitting the pavement in the coming months, bringing her vision for Manhattan’s west side to the voters. Can’t wait for people to get to know the kindest, most decent woman there is.
My son Nate and I were part of Yogi’s Big Catch. Over 2,000 played catch at one time and secured the Guiness World Record for the biggest game of catch on the planet. Congrats to Eve Schaenen and the Yogi Berra Museum board and staff for making this special event happen!!!
@njtransit the 452 train to Montclair from NYP is packed and yet the first car is blocked for access by passengers. Yet another great example of NJT not caring at all about the commuters and their needs.
I'm blanking on the name, but there's a town in Bergen County, on the NY State boarder, that would make a good candidate. Major roads pass through it: I-287, US 202 and NJ-17.
