Good teammate
I present to you, the most hated man in professional sports
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had nothing but praise for his teammates after this series.
“Yeah, I'm so impressed by this group. Not to make any excuses, but they're a really good team over there, and losing Ajay and Dub the way we did in the midst of the series, you'd think it'd be a lot harder for us, but those guys never got discouraged, they played their butts off, d the reason we got to this point in the series is because of them. Supporting cast was amazing this series. Hats off to them. They were big time. I wish I was a little more myself throughout the series, give them more of a boost, more of a chance, but yeah I'm nothing but proud of my guys.”
What a great ball game. It was the Spurs night. Couldn’t miss. At the end of the day, OKC wasn’t winning with 2 of their top 5 players out. Shai was incredible.
-Down your 2nd option and your primary ball handler
-Been garbage majority of the series
-Entire world against you
-1 win away from the NBA Finals
Today is where legends are created, how will you respond Shai?
Draymond Green:
“Shai, you've reached a new level of greatness my man... you got sports media coming out and talking about what they don't like about your greatness, as if SGA is running up and down the court with the whistle in his mouth calling a foul for himself... you all think the NBA is that easy to where this guy just flops and goes to the free throw line and he becomes the back to back MVP? We really gonna dumb the NBA down to that?”

All the SGA slander has become corny. He finished fourth in free throw attempts per game on a team that was 17th. He's as close to a throwback player as you get: a (mostly) inside the three-point line scorer who can beat you a bunch of ways. He gets calls, yes. Gets fouled, too.
