"I believe in Christianity as I believe the sun has risen; not because I see it, but because by it I see everything else." -C.S. Lewis
Christianity indeed is a way to see everything else through a whole new lens. We get the Holy Spirit at conversion which allows us to see new!
C.S. Lewis has many quotes that are full of wisdom and guidance for successful living. Here's one: "Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it is thinking of yourself less."
Proverbs 22:4 backs this up when it talks about the blessings of humility through God's eyes.
Are you playing to an imaginary crowd or a false narrative that says busyness is a requirement for validation? Or like Mary are you learning how to seek Jesus above all else? When you do, everything else falls into place as your soul finds the contentment it’s searching for.
We all know something is very wrong in the world. We can sense it, and we can see it. We can feel the tension growing stronger. So what is really happening? The Bible tells of the intensity of the spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:12) on the earth as the return of Jesus approaches.
Waiting can be used to sift our motives and desires. This is where all pride goes to die a final death. Very hard but cathartic if we are honest. God uses delays to grow our faith and trust.
"Delay never thwarts God's purposes, rather it sharpens His instrument."- A.W. Tozer
The Bible talks often about our need to get away to seek solitude and recharge. Jesus did this often so if He did, how much more do we need to do this? The always on 24/7 media fueled world is exhausting. The world says busyness is a virtue, but the Bible says be still and rest.
To truly follow God, we must understand His characteristics and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He is worth following. He is kind, patient, loyal, not judgmental, forgiving, sovereign, omniscient, omnipresence, omnipotent and yet gentle. That's the kind of God we serve.
Because Jesus loves us so much, we wants to keep us from things that can destroy us. Pride is one of the items at the top of his list. Proverbs 16:18 says "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall."

God receives us just as we are. He meets us in our present condition, even if it's at our lowest point, but He loves us too much to keep us there. He wants to radically transform us, and give us a whole new identity, like a Caterpillar into a Butterfly. See 2 Corinthians 5:17
Jesus taught many world altering lessons in His Sermon on the Mount. In Matthew 5:9 He said "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." Boy do we need peacemakers right now on the earth. It's time for a new media that unites rather than divides.
1st John 4: 8 says "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." God's love is not like human love and can be hard to grasp because it is other worldly. His love is based on His character and not on all on our performance. His love is enduring and unending.
The Bible makes it clear that God owns everything and that God is abundant. He is El Shaddai, the all sufficient One. When we put our trust in Him, we can be secure in the fact that He lacks nothing, so we lack nothing. He may not always give us what we want, but what we need.
The very definition of faith is believing in what we cannot yet see. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says "For we live by faith, not by sight." When we trust in Jesus we can be sure that He is guiding us on a path that is the best for us. We won't always know the how but we always know the Who
Jesus talked more about money than any other subject other than the Kingdom of God. Why? It's the #1 weapon satan uses to keep people from trusting in God. He deceives them into finding their security in wealth, rather than in Christ. Money is a great servant, but a harsh master.
There's 1440 minutes in a day. How many do you spend with God, either in reading scripture, praying or seeking Him in solitude? You can tell what anyone values in their life by how they spend their time, because we naturally spend time on things we love. Alignment matters!
The Bible talks a lot about the spiritual battles that take place in the Heavenly Realms that effect the happenings on the earth like in Ephesians 6:12-18. It is pointed out that our enemy satan hates us and wants to destroy us and keep us out of God's kingdom at all costs.
Many people I know are exhausted from the grind of this life and the invasion of technology into their lives that make it a never ending struggle to try to keep up and to "stay relevant." Social Media and now AI is a soul less sidekick that can weary our very souls. Recharge!
Many people are seeking platforms on social media and elsewhere to gain large numbers of followers of people they mostly don't know and may never meet. They are affirmation vampires, but affirmation that satisfies comes only from Jesus. Jesus got affirmation from His Father God
All of history is His Story. The entire Bible could be summed up with three statements: 1. Old Testament- The Messiah ( Jesus ) is coming. 2. New Testament- The Messiah ( Jesus ) has come. 3. Revelation- The Messiah ( Jesus ) is returning. He’s coming as the conquering King,
Many people are carrying heavy wounds. Jesus can heal and restore all. He's the only one. There are 1440 minutes in a day. How many do you spend thinking about God, either praying, reading scripture or seeking Him in your daily grind? That is the best use of your time. Wisdom!
