Today is my last day at the White House and I have to say folks it has been one helluva ride! Thank you Mr. President for allowing me to be a part of the team.
When I made the commitment to nominate the first Black woman to the Supreme Court, I could see this day.
I could see it as a day of hope. A day of promise and progress. A day when once again the moral arc of the universe bends just a little more towards justice.
Thank you Mr. President for nominating this amazing jurist and for allowing me to a part of the team. Today was, as my buddy Cory Booker would say, joyous. She is truly inspirational and #AJustice4All
To you guys it might look rainy and dreary outside my little cubbyhole at the EEOB, but for me I see nothing but rays of sunshine this morning. It’s a great day to confirm #AJustice4All to The Supreme Court of the United States
As my buddy the great Southern writer Rick Bragg would say “Its all over but the shout’n.” This great team walked KBJ through visits with 97 Senators! She sat through 20+ hours of questioning and answered 1500 questions for the record. Next up - CONFIRMATION!

No memes. No photos. No quote tweets tonight. For me just a joyous sense of satisfaction that we are one step closer to the historic and inspirational confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court of the United States.

A few weeks down. A few more to go. But it has been such an immense honor to serve as her guide, and I can’t wait to see her join the court as the newest United States Supreme Court Justice.

During my very first meeting with Judge Jackson I was immediately blown away. This past week has only reinforced my belief that she is not only immensely qualified, but truly a justice for this moment that our country find itself in.
Certainly last week was bruising. There is nothing easy about this process. But the way Judge Jackson navigated complex and sometimes unfair questions and remained composed and articulate was astounding. Folks will say we prepped her well. But I would say that is who she is.
It has been an exhausting but exhilarating week with Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. America saw her brilliance, heard of her principled positions and witnessed her grace. She is on the cusp of history while already an inspiration to millions. Next stop: Confirmation!

For me those who have seen the misleading attacks concerning Judge Jackson and her record in child pornography cases please take a look at this to get the facts

As of today, Judge Jackson has completed 44 meetings with Senators of both parties, including every member of the Judiciary Committee. These have been engaging and respectful discussions that showcase her extraordinary qualifications, experience, intellect, and character.
emphasizing judicial restraint and judges “staying in their lane” - not legislating from the bench, but bringing a neutral and independent perspective to each case, upholding our Constitution, and ruling on the merits.
Another great week with Judge Jackson making the rounds on Capitol Hill. Thanks to all the Senators who made time for her. We’ll pick up where we left off next week! And thanks to super staffer Sherrica Ware, scheduler for Sen. Ossoff, for the photo
Judge Jackson has been reviewed & confirmed by the Senate with bipartisan support 3 times, most recently last year. She wrote nearly 600 opinions, her questionnaire has more than 2K pages of docs for review & the Committee has access to >12K pages from the Sentencing Commission.
