'They found themselves made strangers in their own country'
— Enoch Powell's Rivers of Blood speech (1968)
'We risk becoming an island of strangers'
— Keir Starmer (2025)
During apartheid, South African armed forces killed 69 civilians in the Sharpeville Massacre. The world was shocked. This event is still taught in history classes.
On average, Israel has massacred more than 70 Palestinian civilians *every day* for the past 18 months.
Today is Rare Disease Day and it’s a day to raise awareness for the 300 Million people in the world with over 6000 rare diseases. If you or a loved one have a rare disease write it in the comments and make it seen.

🚨 National Demo - One year of Genocide
📍 Russell Square, London
⏰ Saturday 5 October, 12PM
Join us on 5 October as we march for Palestine. After 1 year of Israel's genocide against the Palestinian people we must step-up the pressure on our government to #StopArmingIsrael
It’s not lost on me this Memorial Day that Aaron Bushnell lit himself on fire saying “This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal.” And now 3 months later we’re watching people burn alive in Rafah.
I once wrote a song called ‘Where Do The Children Play?’ meaningful to many of us perhaps, but totally meaningless to the poor children of Palestine. They are just asking for a place to sleep, some food to eat, a night without fear of being bombed or losing their limbs, a chance to kiss their mothers goodnight without the threat of being dragged off to prison without charge, before the sun rises.

The images from Rafah are unbearable.
What is there left to say? Do our political leaders not see what we see? Is there really no limit to what Palestinians must endure?
Enough! Stop equivocating. Stop stalling. Stop hiding — and call for an immediate ceasefire, now.
We face the real risk of losing an entire generation of talent and artistry to cuts and austerity.
The government must act now to protect grassroots music venues.
