Finally made something in the shop. Summer outdoor projects, golf, kept me away, but glad to get back to making sawdust.
This is my version of a Japanese tool box.
1/4 sawn white oak with finger joints for assembly.
I recessed a Kumiko panel -"as a no ha"-into the lid.

Repair/re-glue job for neighbor on her "EASTLAKE" BED HEAD BOARD. Significant crack/split in bottom of left leg where side rail drops into slot. All the glue is dried up and leg came off easily. We'll see how it works out? Using hide glue.

The "finish" line is in sight. The hard maple version of the porringer top tea table is ready to apply the finish. The poplar/mdf prototype was very useful in tweaking details.

New project:Small poringer top end table, 2 axis turned cabriolet legs. 1st prototype of leg in poplar: room for lots of improvement, although reasonable 1st attempt.
Time to try again.

@Shavingwood Thanks Tommy, I'm enjoying the build.I have built so many pieces since retiring 7 years ago that I run out of appropriate places to place recent projects. I suppose that's a good problem!
