Today I had the honor of preaching John 1. God takes our "small yes" and pours out a bucket of the Holy Spirit on us. Gen Z can be courageous witnesses!
Amen. “I have great reason for hope. It’s not a strategy, a new book, a new political candidate, or a new initiative. The Holy Spirit is at work. That is enough for me for today.” @Tish_H_Warren https://t.co/kEb6qu8AZ0
Grateful for this word. “Living a life faithful to God and open to his invitations is never dull. While the big yeses have obvious impact, it’s practicing yes in the ordinary days of life that holds significance.” @cewagoner@ivpress
This violence against our Asian American neighbors is from the mouth of hell. Hate acts. It does not stay confined to the heart & mind. It incites the tongue. Untreated, it travels to hands & feet. Hate is murderous. (1Jn 3:15) Stand against it. Speak against it. Pray against it.
Jesus 2020. Confederate Flag. Noose. For many unbelievers, when they hear “Christian”, these images come to mind. This form of syncretism is one of the biggest apologetic challenges facing the church today. We must be clear about what Christianity isn’t as we share what it is.
