Rape victim k!lled her rapist after his release.
She got arrested and her statement was -
“He raped me, not the State. Who gave you the right to forgive him without consulting me?”
Do you agree with her,
Yes or No?
Two SCOTUS decisions today:
1) President can fire any executive branch agency appointee at any time without cause (Slaughter)
2) President can't fire Federal Reserve Governors without cause (Cook)
Taken together, SCOTUS enshrined the Fed as the 4th Branch of the US Government
Imagine going to a car dealership and asking the cost of a car you want to order. The dealer tells you $2500. You pay it, thinking "what a great deal". Then, before you go in to pick it up, you get a text or an email saying the manufacturer is owed $25,000 and must be paid before you go in to pick it up. You think "well, I thought the $2500 was too good a deal" and you pay it. The car is delivered, and you go home. Three months later, you get a bill from the guy who transported your vehicle to the dealership saying you owe them $3,000 for delivering the vehicle. Then a month later another $2,000 bill from the guy who installed the tires. Then another $1,000 from the guy who put the oil in the car. And on and on. If you don't pay a bill, your credit is destroyed. THAT is the American Health System today.
@LaNativePatriot Okay, so they don't have public water fountains? Like water pads for people to go and cool off? They're spraying water from a half million dollar truck and everybody's at the edges.
🚨UPDATE🚨
Alligator Alcatraz has shut down just shortly after a year of its opening.
The $1.2 billion detention facility housed roughly 20,000 illegal aliens.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis says DHS no longer needs the facility.
The New York Times claims DHS is offloading 7 of the 11 facilities it recently purchased to house illegal aliens.
While DHS did not deny this report to me, they claim the agency is focused on going after criminal illegal aliens.
Meaning we have to wait for illegals to commit heinous crimes before the federal government moves to arrest and deport them.
@AnAverageGamerX Requirement to keep patches downloadable in some form/a way to patch the game. Nowadays games are shipped broken or missing things and patches are part of the delivery.
@mboudry Of course, they could have prioritized AC and built in the most efficient systems and not die of a heat wave. I would be livid as a surgeon or as a patient coming out in pain in a 100 degree hospital. Miserable.
@mboudry In total, the portable units do work, of course. But they are terribly inefficient. Because they're not mounted outside, they have to use indoor air to blow the hot air to the outside. Which means you pull in outside air from elsewhere Hot air out, must be hotter than hot air in.
@thechosenberg Github Copilot monthly plan can be used up in 3 hours on 1x usage, not claude, absolutely ridiculous. You can't pay for much more on demand because there is also weekly rate limit that hits in a few hours. On top they removed 5-6 models up to pro plus
@glukianoff An aside, I tried running my heat pump as much as possible last winter in reasonable temp range. It ended up being more expensive than using gas. There was maybe only a very narrow window where the COP on a heat pump is good enough to benefit over the cost of gas in my area.
@StumpGuyTy All contracting quoted work is like that. If you can find somebody who will agree to do good work for hourly, then trust them and pay them. But, that's the way a quote works. Rentals I would have to retrieve, clean and gas up. I'm sure you have other costs.
@GMB It's a lot worse that you're using window units and especially those terrible portable units when you could have just built in the most efficient systems.
@om_patel5 You can peel layers from anything. This is like the geniuses correcting people that 'cooling' doesn't exist. It's the movement of heat. Cool represents a concept. An outcome. Not a technical property. They aren't alive, but is it a matter of more layers? The goats are dumb.
@HamEggsnSam This kind of stuff happens in contracting. Contractors routinely go back and fix work to make it right. Doesn't mean anything bad or nefarious. You are right though. Cleaned primed and coated. It should be bonded but it didn't turn out. So fix it.
