Quality culture & program building recruiting is like a 2-way long form job interview. Proceed patiently and wisely.

In today’s game, the patient & long eval of the player/person/program is what will win.

And I’m STILL of the opinion that early offers don’t mean a thing - in fact, they work against all (important) parties involved. They function as a form of (inflated) attention currency.

We learned LY & declined to play in the “payola” for clubs/friends in exchange for “praise evals” from “certified evaluators” (AKA first job new journalism grads who have Zero 🏀IQ) masked as a “College Recruiting” event and the attempt to cover this year was to dismiss parents

🤑💵💰attended College Coach 🏀 HS event. Coaches=A+ but🤮was event orgs deal w/Club-driven registrations exchanged for, receiving Social praise vs Actual deserving players. Eg. Posts touted player that in reality struggled huge if anyone saw in-person. DM me 4 more.

The idea of “if you can play they will find you”…..is one of the biggest fallacies that exists in recruiting. Yes, if you are HIGH level they will find you. But once you get past that….the waters become increasingly muddled with 100s and 100s of extremely similar athletes; both from a talent and academic perspective. After the initial few hundred….it is very similar and many are often “not found”.
