@walterkirn I knew him as Chichester when I was at USC. Strange guy. Love to see a doc film that is just you and him in conversation at San Quentin, trying to get to the truth. Absolutely loved your book - couldn’t put it down!
I wrote about Pulp's film ambitions, talking to filmmakers who worked with them: Doug Nichol & Florian Habicht. We discuss the band's creative input, the Hardcore video's inspirations + crew member from Old Hollywood & Eyes Wide Shut, and more at https://t.co/0tYHNuam43
@AmandaMilius I took a screenwriting class from your Dad at USC. Best class ever - he’d order in cheeseburgers from the 901 and spend 2 hours telling incredible stories. People were crying from laughing so much.
The personal computer may have overtaken the typewriter but it could not overtake Herb Permillion, the quiet wizard of California Typewriter on San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley. https://t.co/otONsSoSIb
RIP to the great Herb Permillion. He was a man with a huge heart who loved typewriters. No one could fix an IBM Selectric like Herb could. Love to the Permillion family. #californiatypewriter#typewriters
The great David McCullough has died. It was so amazing to spend a day on Martha’s Vineyard filming him for “California Typewriter.” Such an incredible man. He sent me a beautiful typewritten letter on his Royal KMM after the film came out. RIP. #davidmccullough
