Holy heck, not one but two, of our sequences made the list!? I LOVE this site and it is a thrill to be on the list with so many incredible title sequences. Truly a testament to all the hard work from the entire team over here at @exp_perception!

I love this so much! This is the kind of unnecessary but thoughtful detail that makes Apple stand out from everyone else.

LOVED the new Spider-Man.

Handshake gave me the feels.

After seeing the Homecoming rough-cut in 2016/17, @Dougasaurus and I loved the Peter/Ned handshake so much that we learned it, and traced it for the title sequence.

[Doug Appleton @Dougasaurus]

Seems like a good day to throw back to when Marvel sent us all of Spider-Man’s costumes for Far From Home to put in our title sequence.

[Doug Appleton @Dougasaurus]

@JohnnyMotion This was the first thing that popped into my head after watching the movie! Spidey handshake forever!

One of the last things I did at @exp_perception was put together this reel of our work on #PredatorBadlands. I feel like it's time everyone gets to see it!
A huge thank you to the absolute dream team we had working on this. This project couldn't have been done without them!

[Doug Appleton @Dougasaurus]

@Oddernod I’ve thought about this for a long time. One day, long after I’m gone, the title sequences I helped create will still be around. And maybe some kid will sit through the credits, like I did, and think about all those people, and for a brief moment someone will know that I existed.

There is nothing I could say that could add to this. Just watch it. It is incredible.

Only one chance in this lifetime…

Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.

I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.

@JohnnyMotion I remember being on a call early in the process and Ryan Meinerding happened to walk by the conference room and they pulled him in to show what we were working on. I had a real Wayne’s World “we’re not worthy” moment. The vis dev team at Marvel Studios are absolute rockstars!

BIG NEWS! I am so excited to share that I have joined BigStar as Creative Director! BigStar is a studio I have admired for a long time, and I am thrilled I get to be part of their incredible story. Big things to come this year!

New year, new reel!

I'm kicking off the year looking forward to new opportunities. It’s been a long time since I made a reel, so here’s a look back at some of my favorite work.

If you like what you see, let’s be friends! Hopefully we’ll get the chance to work together soon.

Predator Badlands is out today! We couldn't have done it without this incredibly talented group of people. I'm so thankful to everyone at @exp_perception for all their creativity and passion that went into this one. Go see it on the big screen and show these folks some love!

[Doug Appleton @Dougasaurus]

Only a few more days before everyone can see what we spent most of the year working on @exp_perception, but here's a surprise little tease! It's a Halloween treat!

Happy Halloween! 👻
Found this old project that never went anywhere, but I always liked this spooky ghost lady inspired by the Bride from The Haunted Mansion. I figured she deserved to see the light of day and what better day than Halloween! Made in #Cinema4D and #AfterEffects.

[Doug Appleton @Dougasaurus]

I am SO excited for this movie! I can't wait for everyone to see what we've been working on @exp_perception. I can't talk specifics yet, but some of that work may or may not be in this very trailer...

Watch the new trailer for Predator: Badlands. Experience the film only in theaters and IMAX November 7.

So far, my favorite part of Alien: Earth is the title card that also serves as a previously on. My least favorite part is the lens flare on the R.

New work alert! I'm so proud of this one. From the initial ideas to the first rough sketches to the finished sequence, our team poured everything into bringing #DaredevilBornAgain to life. Check out the behind the scenes to get a peek at how we pulled it all together!

#Work
Check out our behind-the-scenes montage of the Daredevil: Born Again title sequence in the making.

From the moment our sequence begins— the world emerges in tones of cold stone, gray, and tan. The city is cloaked in fog, its edges blurred. We see through Daredevil’s perspective— not by sight, but by sense: a world of shadowed shapes, obscured forms, and fragile memory.

Monolithic statues, damaged and eroded, mirror the crumbling institutions Matt once believed in— the law, the church, and the myth of the city. Though heavy with decay, they retain a lingering weight, much like Matt himself: battered but not broken. Light seeps through cracks and fissures, casting a thin, uncertain glow over a city suspended between ruin and the faint hope of restoration.
