Charles Vince was born #OnThisDay in 1824. Born in to a Congregationalist family, he converted to Baptism & entered Stepney College in 1848. He was the minister of Mount Zion Chapel, in Graham Street.

Harriette Grundy became first headmistress of King Edward VI Grammar School for Girls. They followed a simple curriculum, but a few took the Oxbridge exams. On her death it was said that, to her girls, she was an inspiration & guide.
She is buried in Key Hill #WomensHistoryMonth
