Our Chair and Chief Executive have today spoken at the Global Meeting on Healthcare Regulation and Policy for Women's Health organised by the Dove Foundation, on the role regulation can play to improve women's health across the world
@gmabbam@DoveFGC
I was delighted to join yesterday’s Global Meeting on Healthcare Regulation and Policy for Women’s Health at the UK Houses of Parliament.
Thank you to The Dove Foundation for Global Change, in partnership with the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and Wellcome Leap, for convening such an important discussion.
Women’s health remains one of the most significant unmet needs in global health. Accelerating innovation, improving regulatory pathways, and closing the evidence gap are not optional, they are essential if we are to deliver better outcomes for women and their babies worldwide.

Women's health is a structural failure affecting half the world. The Dove Foundation for Global Change is building the global regulatory blueprint to fast-track women's health innovations and deliver the change it demands.
Some years ago the British High Commission in Ghana shared this piece on Mabel Dove Danquah, a pioneering journalist, editor and political activist.
One of the first African women newspaper editors, she later became the first female MP in Africa.
#IWD2026
This #IWD2026 we honour women who didn’t just break barriers, they changed systems.
From pioneers like Mabel Dove Danquah to global leaders advancing rights, democracy, and women’s health, their leadership expanded opportunity for women and girls worldwide.
#WomensRights
We were pleased to contribute to PEAH with our latest piece on closing the gender gap in women’s health and labour force participation. Health is foundational to economic equity and sustainable growth. The G20 must act accordingly.

Up to 80% of women develop fibroids by 50. Delayed diagnosis leads to unnecessary hysterectomies and preventable harm.
Early diagnosis isn’t optional. Governments must act now.
President Ramaphosa and Rt Hon. Helen Clark are clear: the world is still failing women and children.
Our upcoming campaign will push G20 leaders to change that — starting with real investment in women’s health. Diagnostics, treatment, and protection women urgently need.
As we reflect on the past year, we invite young women to put those reflections into words.

#APPGBlackHealth welcomes national maternity investigation but demands accountability. Black women face worst maternal outcomes in UK. "This investigation must mark a turning point" - Prof Faye Ruddock. Lived experiences must drive reform.
