Senior School Sports Day 2024 was a brilliant event - sunshine (eventually), a hugely supportive atmosphere, and several school records broken! Well done to all involved, from competitors to staff and supporters. This year's winning house was School House.
Our Upper Sixth leavers enjoyed a brilliant day of watersports at Action Watersports today to celebrate the end of their examinations. Thank you to our Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Lee, for organising it.
Well done to a group of our Upper Sixth, who as part of the Business course had to plan and deliver a not-for-profit event. They chose to put on a disco for Prep 5, Prep 6 and Shell pupils. A great time was had by all.
Earlier this month, Phoebe (Fifth Form) travelled to Miami to participate in a CrossFit competition. Competing against the global elite in this sport, Phoebe did herself proud and is currently ranked 10th in the world. Well done, Phoebe!
On Thursday, GCSE and A Level Drama pupils took a trip to the Marlowe Theatre to watch a performance of '12 Angry Men'. It was a brilliant experience, and we strongly recommend taking a trip to see the play yourself!
Tickets for our school production, Legally Blonde The Musical, can now be booked. Performances are on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th February. The booking link has been emailed to all parents. Tickets are available on a first-come first-served basis.
Our successful Peer Mentoring programme is relaunching this term. Thank you to Miss Green and Miss Graham, who presented to Senior School pupils the benefits of it - both for those receiving mentoring and those giving their time to mentor. #PupilLeadership#PeerMentoring
Our Carol Service, held at St Mary's Church yesterday afternoon, was a truly festive affair. There were outstanding performances from individual pupils, small groups and the choir, ably supported by the band. Thank you and well done to all involved.
No rest for the Duckworth Elf ( Sparkles for short) he got straight to work delivering advent calendars to the boarders, all ready to surprise them when they come back from the Christmas fayre. π
