Well done to our Prep School, who were awarded a Wilder Kent Award - Silver today at the Wilder Kent Awards 2022. This follows a brilliant team effort from Prep School staff and pupils, who produced a compelling entry.

We were delighted to welcome GCSE and Upper Sixth Art, DT and Photography candidates and their families to the Cloisters this evening, for a private exhibition of their work. It was also be on show tomorrow, throughout Prize Day.
Our Prep School pupils took in martial arts taster sessions yesterday. These were run by Master Finch and Emily (Upper Sixth), of @MF_Academy_Kent The day was a great success and the pupils had a wonderful time.
The weather was perfect for our Prep School International Food Fair this afternoon. The pupils enjoyed visiting the various stalls run by each class, tasting food from Greece, China, Italy, India, Africa and the UK (Dover!).
Prep 5 and 6 took part in an epic water fight on The Close this afternoon as an end of term treat. Well done to Miss Blackstock, who bravely agreed to join in!
Soon after the end of term, work will begin on our new playground for Early Years and Prep 1-2 pupils. We can't wait to officially open it in September. Thank you to Mr Irwin, for this lovely concept artwork based on the official 2D plans.
Our Prep School Summer Concert was a brilliant success! The children sang a variety of songs from musicals, culminating in a whole school performance of 'We're All In This Together' from High School Musical. Further photos and a full video recording will follow.
Good luck to our Prep School pupils, who will perform their Summer Concert for parents and other family members this afternoon. They will be singing a range of songs from musicals, including Bugsy Malone, Oliver!, Annie and The Sound of Music.
Prep 5 have been experimenting with blackout poetry using pages from their favourite books. They have used action, horror and comedy-themed poetry, exploring how the tone of the book can be conveyed in poetry form using just a few words from a single page.
Our Prep School pupils are looking forward to hosting an International Food Fair, on The Close on Tuesday 5th July at 2.00 pm. Friends and family are invited to join them. Thank you to Perdita and Jacob, who designed this graphic on their iPads to promote the event.

The weather was perfect yesterday afternoon for our Prep School Sports Day. We were delighted that so many parents were in attendance to cheer on their children. Well done to the staff team, who defeated the parents in the staff vs parents tug of war!
The weather was spectacular for the Prep 3 and 4 trip to Samphire Hoe today. Within the course of the morning they completed a range of activities from sound walks and perfume pot making, to scavenger hunts and finding mini-beasts! A wonderful morning was had by all!
Dover College was granted a coat of arms on January 20th, 1931. A version of it is still in use today on uniform, around the College and in marketing material. Here is the crest that we believe was used before the arms were granted (1871-1930).
The SR V class, more commonly known as the Schools Class, is a class of steam locomotive designed for Southern Railway. All 40 of the class were named after English public schools. The College has the name plate for Dover, which completed over 1,000,000 miles of service!
Prep 4, 5 and 6 had an amazing day learning about mining at the Kent Mining Museum. They learnt lots from the exhibits, met some real miners (including Jack's grandad) and designed their own banners. They also had a rather glorious time in the sun on the play equipment!
