Great news Alberta!
A critical milestone has been reached under the Canada-Alberta energy agreement (MOU) so that our province can expect approval from the Federal Major Projects Office for actual construction of the West Coast Pipeline on or before September 1, 2027.
When achieved, this would be the fastest approval of a major oil pipeline from Alberta in a generation!
This project will deliver 1,000,000 new barrels of Alberta oil every single day to new Asian markets, creating jobs, strengthening our economy, and generating a phenomenal amount of wealth for Albertans and Canadians for decades to come.
And just as importantly, Alberta has successfully fought to permanently end Justin Trudeau’s punitive oil and gas production cap and roll back his absurdly high industrial carbon price to a much more realistic level that will save our job creators over $250 billion and protect the livelihoods of Alberta workers.
This is what happens when Alberta stands strong.
Alberta is taking action to meet the growing demand for skilled trades. Today, we will announce a major investment in NAIT to expand student capacity and prepare more Albertans for careers in technology and the trades https://t.co/v8XBnZHA4b

First you want a referendum, now you don’t want a referendum. I guess the committee has their work cut out for them.

I had the pleasure of joining Minister @dtloewen and Bertie Beaver, in Sturgeon County to tour one of the many incredible bases across our province where our brave firefighters gear up to protect Alberta's lands and communities.
This year we are renewing 500k in fire service training grants that will be sent to municipalities across our province to help train the men and women that keep us safe during fire season.
Meet the Alberta NDP's new federal boss.
Avi Lewis wants to hike taxes, ban new pipelines, and shut down oil and gas production. And he wants Naheed Nenshi as Premier.
Same party. Same values. Same anti-Alberta agenda.
A reminder that you need only look at page 2 of the Alberta NDP constitution to see that they are constitutionally linked to the federal NDP. Avi Lewis is Nenshi’s new boss.
Oliver Wyman's independent report shows that Care-First is expected to deliver better injury benefits, meaningful savings, and greater stability for drivers. https://t.co/OSMvyR4R4X
When times get tough, Albertans step up to the challenge. Budget 2026 is making responsible decisions to restore stability, strengthen our financial foundation, and protect the services Albertans rely on.
On Thursday I will deliver a special televised address to Albertans at 6:45 p.m. to speak directly to Albertans about the road ahead for our province and the decisions that will shape our future. Tune in on your local television channels or online.
Dear Liberal Justice Minister @SeanFraserMP —- is this what you meant by upholding the independence of the judiciary? Well that’s weird because…
“Since the Liberals came to power in 2015 nearly 80 per cent of the judges they have appointed were donors to the Liberal party before they became judges.
The Liberals have also been using an internal party database, known as Liberalist, to vet potential appointees for their partisan involvement.”

MUST READ:
“Frankly. here is a guy who campaigned for Justin Trudeau, the single most damaging prime minister in Alberta history. That explains a lot,” says the premier.

Premier Smith fought for Alberta and it’s paying off!
This is a direct result of removing the Clean Energy Regs in the Alberta–Canada Energy Agreement.
Investment is pouring back into Alberta.
Just some clarification on this for folks:
1. There is no increase in the carbon price on April 1 under the MOU.
2. Alberta and the Feds will negotiate a new carbon pricing agreement to replace the existing one by April 1, but the price will not be going up on April 1
3. The old/current agreement had the carbon price going to $170 by 2030 which everyone agrees is impossible and would greatly harm industry
4. The new to be negotiated carbon price agreement will scale up to eventually reach $130 however, we are negotiating the timeline for that increase and stringency with the Feds with industry at the table
5. Alberta heavy industry is almost unanimous in supporting this approach - and are very happy about it
In the meantime - there is no more emissions cap or net zero power regs - so let’s get investing and building Alberta !
