After 38 years in the NHS, I’m retiring. From ward clerk to General Manager, it's been a journey of growth, resilience, and pride. Grateful to UCLH, the mentors, the teams, and all those I mentored in turn. Thank you for 38 unforgettable years. What a ride! #NHS#Retirement
It was our pleasure to join Their Majesties The King and Queen today at @uclh.
We're sure their visit will have meant a lot to the staff, patients and our colleagues who had the chance to meet them.
Thank you for your ongoing support.💚
It was a great honour to welcome Their Majesties to @uclh today. A wonderful opportunity to meet some of our patients and spend time with our fabulous #OneTeam staff
@probert_david@uclh Wow our wonderful matron Kim is retiring I shall miss her so much as she added so much value and experience to the paediatric division. Enjoy your retirement xxxx
A sad but also very celebratory day as we say farewell to matron Kim Robinson. She retires after 16 years @uclh and 47 years of nursing. A gold standard example of leadership and someone we will all miss 👏 👏 👏 🏆 #OneTeam
Incredibly important to recognise progress on decarbonisation, whilst still pushing for much faster action. But sometimes looking back proves that change can happen and gives hope. #ClimateActionNow https://t.co/1S6IxtpHEf
Today our truly wonderful, carbon crushing @uclh anaesthetics team is launching a brilliant online sustainability course for any healthcare professional. You can access loads of content for free if you sign up soon. Check it out!
OECD health ministers talking about climate change and the need to reduce emissions in health care. Some big hitters from global south are very interesting, as well as US health Sec who is acknowledging big equity challenges. Need clear plan across #oecd for #ClimateAction
🎅🙌 It's a wrap! What an incredible couple of nights. Thank you to everyone who took part in the Santa in the City runs. It was amazing watching you all go above and beyond for @uclh.
We hope you all get some well-deserved rest!
#OneTeam 💙
🎅 Watch out for our wonderful Santas taking part in Santa in the City fun run, this evening raising money for the #GiftOfGiving 🎁appeal @uclh.
We are so grateful to our amazing supporters this evening braving the cold and rain. It’s fantastic seeing you all!
Plenty seemed odd to me initially in the NHS, but over time became normal. In outpatients the appointment & clinic letter are totemic
Still wonder why consultants ALWAYS send a letter to patients (even if no content) but GP NEVER does (even if lots needs sharing)? Any idea?
Sometimes in the NHS it’s easy to feel you just cannot win. Today’s event showcased 30 posters on how teams are delivering real improvements in patient flow in the hospital. Incredible. I was blown away by what people have achieved. Today, it felt like we were winning.
A big thank you to our vaccination team for spending time with me @uclh Queen Square and sharing all their great work supporting our staff and patients - record levels of vaccinated staff this year! 👏 👏 👏
