There is absolutely no reason why pepper spray should be illegal, especially for women.
It is useless as an offensive weapon, as the user also often gets sprayed.

Pepper spray is one of the only tools that can immediately and non lethally de-escalate a violent or non consensual attack and provide an opportunity for escape, even against a physically stronger attacker.

This man used pepper spray to protect his wife and children, and not even the home invaders were seriously harmed because luckily for them, he had acquired pepper spray illegally.

Without pepper spray, the only alternative legal for this man to possess would be a kitchen knife or a bat.
Both of which, if used would get the father unjustly jailed and one or multiple invaders seriously harmed or killed.
Undoubtably traumatising the entire family in the process.

A country that bans pepper spray is a country that doesn’t take women’s safety seriously. An absolutely ridiculous law that should be disobeyed.
