We’ve been terrible this season. Even at times in tonight’s game it was hard to watch because of just how bad we were. So it’s not an excuse.
But every single week since the Sunderland game we have had the most ridiculous decisions you can imagine go against us. Decisions that aren’t even up for debate. Blatant, obvious. To everyone I speak to. Nailed on red cards. Nailed on penalties. An endless line of nothing free kicks that are given against us but never given for us. A manager who is being micromanaged by the 4th official in a way I’ve seen no other manager treated this season.
It will serve as no consolation if we do go down. But it’s been an absolute disgrace and you’ve got to the point where you just know you’re not going to get a thing. That one down there. Where a player doesn’t look at the ball once, knows exactly where Spence is, and chooses to go in with his elbow. It’s like we’re living in a dream
Igor Tudor has left Tottenham Hotspur. The old “mutual agreement”. Spurs had to act. Tudor was clearly out of his depth; his team selection and decision-making against Nottingham Forest was disastrous in a game Spurs urgently needed to win but lost badly.
Tudor deserves sympathy and sensitivity because of the sad news of his father’s passing. And Tudor is only partly culpable for Spurs' slide towards relegation. Whoever is in the dug-out has to deal with...
1) a recruitment policy that has led to a squad with too few leaders (the captain gets banned) or responsibility-takers, beyond a few gems like Archie Gray.
2) a chronic injury list compounding squad deficiencies.
3) individual mistakes by players through lack of concentration and application.
4) a lack of direction from the owners and board.
From dug-out to dressing-room to board-room, Spurs need stronger leadership. #THFC
🚨🎙️ Ange on those questioning whether the Europa League winners should qualify for the UCL:
"Spurs does crazy things to people... I LOVE IT!" | @WeRTottenhamTV
🎙️Ange on Wenger saying EL winners shouldn't get UCL:
"Spurs does crazy things to people mate. You put that club into any sentence and they all come out and diminish it as much as they can. Why wasn't it an issue before? It does crazy things to people. I love it. Bring it on."
11 years it has been happening, 11 years!
But it’s only ridiculous now. Cannot think why?
Wasn’t ridiculous for Atalanta, Sevilla, Frankfurt, Chelsea or Athletico Madrid.
But it is now.
Ange is certainly correct about how the narrative swings for certain clubs…
Take a bow
So many critics this season
Absolute machine in every duel
Controlled that whole left flank with ease
Calmness and composure both in and out of possession
We still have an absolute gem on our hands
Up the fucking spurs.
Why is NO ONE talking about Harry Kane for the Ballon D’or?
➡️ 47 G/A in 43 games for club & country.
➡️ Top Scorer in the Bundesliga.
➡️ 2nd top scorer in the Champions League
He’s the most complete striker in the world by A MILE and is criminally underrated #Kane
🚨⚪️ Ange Postecoglou: “Man United with many injured players? If I check my office, I don’t have any sympathy cards from other coaches”.
“I could see Rúben there, players out of position, kids on the bench… welcome to my world. But that's for 1 game. Now do that for 2 months”.
Love how Sky Sports, TalkSport and the rest of the media are in meltdown atm about Arsenal’s injury “crisis” of 3 players, when Spurs have been playing every 3 days with an entire 1st team missing for 4 months 😂😭
The agenda is real….
Spurs fans frustrated at Postecoglu but angry at the familiar story that leaves him with so little to work with. Lesser clubs have better squads.
Another campaign to vindicate the many players over the last 25 years who left to win things elsewhere. Fundamental policy shift urgently needed otherwise Postecoglu leaving will make zero difference.
You can get rid of the manager at Spurs (again) but it’s the culture that really needs to change. It’s the deficiencies in recruitment (squad not deep enough, stronger characters needed). It’s the mindset (too meek too often). It’s the leadership at the top (too detached). #THFC
🚨 NEW:
“It’s absolutely ridiculous, it’s just so poor the planning to get into this situation where we’re more than 3 weeks where we knew they had to have reinforcements.”
@AlasdairGold 🥇
The day Daniel Levy leaves Tottenham Hotspur will be the greatest day in our history.
Every time we get one long term absentee back we lose another one long term.
We have not had a chance to rotate our starting 11 since September. I’ve actually never seen anything like it.
Solanke was literally one game away from being able to be rested. Comical
Nearly 2 weeks ago Ange said we needed help for Solanke. It's negligence at this point. All the playing staff, and the fans deserve to be furious at the incompetence of Lange, Levy et al
