After finishing The Mentalist (Season 1 - 8), I needed something else to watch and everyone kept recommending The Boys.

I resisted for a long time.

Pause and think about that statement.
When did Nigeria’s conversation shift from condemning terrorists kidnapping innocent citizens to worrying about the terrorists’ financial difficulties?

Kidnapping is not a business. It is not a livelihood. It is a brutal crime that has left thousands of Nigerian families grieving, traumatized, and displaced.
If government pressure is making it harder for these terrorists to raise funds, buy weapons, and sustain their evil operations, then that is exactly what Nigerians should want.

The real question is not “how will the terrorists survive?”

The real question is: How many more innocent Nigerians must suffer before we stop framing the problems of kidnappers as something worth sympathizing with?

Who deserves our sympathy — the victims or the kidnappers?

🇧🇷 BRAZIL’S WORLD CUP CHANCES: MY ASSESSMENT 🏆

With just days until the 2026 FIFA World Cup 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇲🇽 and after watching Brazil’s recent performances, I think many people are underestimating just how dangerous this team could be.

Their final two warm-up matches ended with a 6-2 victory over Panama 🇵🇦 and a 2-1 win against Egypt 🇪🇬. That’s 8 goals scored in just 2 matches, averaging an impressive four goals per game. More importantly, the goals came from multiple players rather than relying on a single superstar, with Vinícius Jr, Casemiro , Bruno Guimarães , Endrick, and Paquetá all contributing to the scoresheet.

The 6-2 demolition of Panama 🇵🇦 wasn’t just a win; it was a statement. Brazil scored six goals using entirely different attacking combinations, and Carlo Ancelotti even rotated the squad heavily, yet the tactical intensity remained incredibly high.

Then came Egypt 🇪🇬, a much tougher and structurally sound opponent. Brazil won 2-1, but what impressed me most wasn’t the final scoreline. It was their ability to regain control after Egypt equalized. In previous times, Brazil sometimes looked fragile when momentum shifted. however, they stayed composed under pressure and found a winner through Endrick.

Looking closely at the squad, the balance is terrifying. You have Vinícius Jr. entering the tournament as one of the most feared attackers in world football, combined with experienced leaders like Casemiro, Alisson and Marquinhos. Addition of young talents such as Endrick. Perhaps most importantly, you now have Carlo Ancelotti on the touchline, a manager who has won league titles in multiple countries and built a reputation as one of football’s greatest knockout-tournament coaches.

However, Brazil are not perfect. Conceding three goals across their last two friendlies suggests there are still defensive questions left to answer, and the injury to Wesley right before the tournament is an unfortunate setback.

Their biggest challenge may not be talent, but chemistry. Don Carlo has not had years to build this team the way Didier Deschamps built France 🇫🇷 or Lionel Scaloni built Argentina 🇦🇷.

So if I had to predict today: a quarter-final appearance is very likely , a semi-final is likely , and reaching the final is entirely possible. I rate them as genuine contenders with a 15% chance of becoming champions 🏆.

Will this be the tournament where Brazil finally win their first World Cup since 2002 and extend their record to SIX titles? Or will another golden generation leave empty-handed and become another disappointment for the Seleção? 🇧🇷

You're expected to do all this and more and dare not complain about insufficient funds because they will harass you on how opportune you're to get this work😂

When you sit down to analyse, then you realise that you're not even more than 5 that enjoys such pay in your neighbourhood.

This life, let us just thank God and be contented, but it's not easy.
