🚨 FLASH! Govt Takes First Step to Charge FEE on UPI Payments to Large Merchants! 😳

> A Bill has been introduced in Parliament to allow Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) on UPI & RuPay debit card transactions.

MDR was scrapped in January 2020 to push digital payments.

Reportedly, now it may return at around 0.5% of the transaction value.

Merchants and businesses with annual turnover up to ₹1.5 crore are expected to remain exempt.
