Expanding its graduate primary teaching cadre for Classes 6 to 8, the Department of School Education has published separate notifications across educational districts to recruit 2,557 Graduate Primary Teachers for Kannada language instruction. To qualify, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree with a minimum average of 50% along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, B.Ed., or Special B.Ed., or alternatively, a minimum 50% in PUC with a 4-year B.El.Ed. or 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Degree. Applicants must have studied Kannada along with another eligible elective language or social science subject for all three years of graduation, undergone practice teaching in Kannada during their teacher education, and qualified in either KARTET or CTET. ಶಾಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಕ್ಷರತೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ನೌಕರರು ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ (KAAMS-Kartavya) ಮೊಬೈಲ್‌ ಅಪ್ಲಿಕೇಷನ್‌ ಬಳಸಿ ಹಾಜರಾತಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ನೌಕರರಲ್ಲಿ 99.82% ಮಂದಿ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ನೋಂದಣಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 19, 2026 ರಂದು 72.88% ನೌಕರರು ಈ ಆ್ಯಪ್‌ ಬಳಸಿ ಹಾಜರಾತಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Employees across the Department of School Education and Literacy are now actively utilizing the KAAMS-Kartavya mobile application to record their daily attendance. 99.82% of the workforce has successfully registered on the application. Furthermore, on August 19, 2026 72.88% of employees logged their daily attendance using the 'Kartavya' app.

ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅನುದಾನಿತ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ AI ಆಧಾರಿತ ಮುಖ ಚಹರೆ ಗುರುತಿಸುವ (Facial Recognition) ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಹಾಜರಾತಿ ಪಡೆಯುವ, ಇ-ಆಡಳಿತ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಅಪ್ಲಿಕೇಷನ್‌ ʻನಿರಂತರʼ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿ ಅರ್ಹ 35,64,470 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ದಿನಾಂಕ 19-08-2026ರ ವರೆಗೆ 33,47,698 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ನೋಂದಣಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಿರಂತರ ಆ್ಯಪ್‌ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಾಜರಾತಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

To simplify and enable seamless attendance tracking, the government has launched ‘Nirantara’, an AI-based facial recognition platform developed by the Department of e-Governance across government and aided schools. As of August 19, 2026, out of 35,64,470 eligible students, 33,47,698 have been registered on the platform and are actively recording their daily attendance using the app

ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಬಿಸಿಯೂಟದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಮೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಅಜೀಂ ಪ್ರೇಮ್‌ ಜೀ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತುಂಬಾ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಶೀಲರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ದಿನವಿಡೀ ಆಟ-ಪಾಠಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ತೋರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮೊಟ್ಟೆಯು ಅವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಪ್ರೋಟೀನ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಟಮಿನ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.

Eggs are being provided to government school children every day during midday meals. This initiative has been implemented in collaboration with the Bengaluru-based Azim Premji Foundation. Consuming eggs makes children highly active and keeps them engaged in academics and sports throughout the day. Eggs contain the essential proteins and vitamins required to provide the energy needed for all their activities.

ರಾಜ್ಯದ 500 ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ‘ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್ ಶಾಲೆ’ (KPS)ಗಳಾಗಿ ಉನ್ನತೀಕರಿಸಲು 1,750 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳ ನೆರವು ಘೋಷಿಸಿರುವ ʻಏಷ್ಯನ್ ಡೆವಲಪ್‌ಮೆಂಟ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ (ADB) ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಇಂದು ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧದ ಒಪ್ಪಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಿ ಮಾಡಿವೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್‌ ಅವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಡಿಬಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಸಹಿ ಹಾಕಿದರು. ಮುಂದಿನ ನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ (2029-30ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನವರೆಗೆ) ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು 2,500 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ವಿನಿಯೋಗಿಸಿ 500 ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್‌ ಶಾಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಡಿಬಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‌ 1,750 ರೂ.ಗಳ ನೆರವು ಒದಗಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಉಳಿದ 750 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಭರಿಸಲಿದೆ.

In a major push toward public education infrastructure, the State Government and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a formal agreement to upgrade 500 government schools into Karnataka Public Schools (KPS). Executed in the presence of Chief Minister Shri D.K. Shivakumar, the signing by Department of School Education and ADB officials establishes a four-year implementation roadmap running through the 2029–30 academic year with a total outlay of ₹2,500 crore. Under the funding framework, ADB provides ₹1,750 crore in financial assistance while the state government contributes the remaining ₹750 crore.

The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara, Minister for School Education and Literacy Shri Madhu Bangarappa, ADB Director Mio Oka, Kai Wei Yeo, ADB Senior Project Officer Smt. Poonam S. ಶಾಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಕ್ಷರತಾ ಇಲಾಖೆ 15 ಸಾವಿರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ನೇಮಕಕ್ಕೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾವಾರು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ದಿನಾಂಕ 29-01-2026 ರಂದು ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿರುವಂತೆಯೇ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ವಯೋಮಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಸಡಿಲಿಕೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.  ದಿನಾಂಕ: 18-12-2008ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಆದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ವಯೋಮಿತಿ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವರ್ಗದವರಿಗೆ  35 ವರ್ಷ, ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ IIA, IIB, IIIA ಮತ್ತು IIIBಯವರಿಗೆ 38  ವರ್ಷ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಸ್‌ಸಿ/ಎಸ್‌ಟಿ/, ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ-1 ರ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶೇಷ ಚೇತನ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ 40 ವರ್ಷ ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈಗ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ವಯೋಮಿತಿ 5  ವರ್ಷ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ವಯೋಮಿತಿಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಓದಿಕೊಂಡೇ ಅರ್ಜಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕೋರಲಾಗಿದೆ.  ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗೆ ವೆಬ್‌ಸೈಟ್‌ ಲಿಂಕ್‌ : https://t.co/i3IehNQmls.
